Citrus Isopods for Sale (Cubaris sp.)
Citrus Isopods are a beautiful color morph of the Red Panda, showcasing vibrant orange and citrus-colored tones while keeping the same adorable little faces that have made the Panda family of isopods so popular. If you’re looking for a colorful, quiet, and cute pet that’s enjoyable to observe, Citrus Isopods are an excellent choice.
One of the reasons our customers love Citrus Isopods is how their bright coloration really pops against dark substrate, leaf litter, moss, and cork bark in tropical terrariums. They add an eye-catching splash of color while also serving as an excellent clean-up crew for bioactive enclosures.
Origin: Thailand. Citrus Isopods are a color morph of the Red Panda, which is a color morph of the Cubaris Panda King. Like many Cubaris species, they prefer spending much of their time beneath leaf litter and cork bark, although they’ll become more active and confident as their colony becomes established.
Habitat: Citrus Isopods thrive in a tropical enclosure with high humidity (65-80%), increased ventilation, temperatures between 70-78°F, and 3-4 inches of quality substrate. Providing plenty of leaf litter, cork bark, and other hiding places will help them feel secure while encouraging natural behaviors.
Diet: Their primary diet should consist of decaying leaf litter and rotting hardwood. They also benefit from a quality calcium source, such as limestone, along with supplemental foods including quality isopod diets, vegetables, fruits, and protein offered in moderation.
Reproduction: Moderate to Fast for a Cubaris species.
Perfect For: Beginner to intermediate keepers, bioactive enclosures, collectors, display terrariums, families, classrooms, Panda enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a colorful, unique, and cute pet.
